This is a follow-up to yesterday’s post about Online Shopping versus Retail Stores. In yesterday’s post I proved multiple times that the best place to find computer sales, computers, computer hardware, and computer software is the internet. This time we’re going to get into finding the best tech deals online and where’s the most reliable places to shop at as well as finding new places to shop at.

Reliable Computer Stores

All of these online stores have a daily deals section, which is key to finding the best deals going on for that day. You can usually subscribe by e-mail or RSS to their Daily Deals feed so you currently get updates all the time.

Newegg - This is the number one computer store for finding anything you need ranging from computer components, cheap hardware, laptop computers to electronics, and video games. It comes with fast, inexpensive shipping (UPS 3-day for $3.99 on a lot of items). Newegg is a very trusted computer store and is praised by many computer geeks, and technology gurus. They have a review system so you can make sure you’re getting the product that you’re paying for and their tech support is very good.

Tiger Direct - TigerDirect is the other computer store that everyone praises. This store has the same stuff as Newegg, with slight variances, however, the website’s look is less friendly than Newegg’s which is why I think TigerDirect isn’t quite as popular as Newegg.

Amazon - Amazon is the largest online store ever. If you want to shop at Amazon check out our Tech Store, it has loads of computer hardware for sale via Amazon.com. It has everything you’ll ever need for anything you’d ever want. What I like about Amazon is that you can buy used/new things for cheaper than the going price, if you’re working on an older PC sometimes you don’t need brand new parts to make it act new again.

Cheap Price Comparison Sites

These are sites that list products from multiple online computer stores and compares the prices to help you get the lowest price you can find online.

Price Grabber - A good, trusted price comparison site that not only includes computer hardware and software, it also has a variety of stuff ranging from furniture to books.

Price Watch - This site is a comparison site that is mostly computer hardware and software. Recently they’ve added video games and electronics to their list.

Getting The Cheapest Deal Around

For the ultimate cheap deals online try finding what you’re looking for on Ebay, the number one auction site. You can also find plenty of good stuff that people are practically giving away on Craigslist. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.

The key to finding the best computer sales and deals is to shop around. Don’t block out new stores or new places to shop, because you’ve never tried them before, or you’re satisfied at where you shop online, who knows it could save you money, and you’ll find a new online computer store you love.
